Tony is a consultant solicitor with the practice. He has specialised in civil dispute resolution for over 35 years.
During that time, he has acted for individuals and corporations assisting them to resolve claims and disputes over a wide range of legal problems. Before he became a lawyer, he was a member of the Armed Forces (Commando Forces), a diver and a sales executive.
For the past 16 years Tony has specialised in assisting clients resolve disputes relating to wills, trusts, estate administration and residential/trust property. In particular, cases where the validity of a will is disputed or there have been difficulties with regard to the administration of an estate or a trust set up by a will.
Tony has assisted clients resolve a number of cases involving fraud relating to the estate of a deceased person and/or the money and property of the deceased person before their death.
Tony is a full member of ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) and an affiliate member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). He was formerly on the committee of DDRC Healthcare Ltd which is a leading charity with an international reputation.
Tony was a former Deputy District Judge and in 1994 qualified for admission as a solicitor and barrister of the High Court of New Zealand. He is also a contributor to LAW SKILLS (https://www.lawskills.co.uk/articles/author/tony-pearce) where he has discussed topics surrounding contentious probate.
Tony is also one of the founding editors of the Contested Probate Section at The National Will Register (www.nationalwillregister.co.uk) which is the country’s largest will registration and search company.
